Taking a moment this New Year's Eve to remember a professional sailor, US Marine, expert skier, and one hell of a dude, Rich Calvert. I had the pleasure of meeting Rich at the North loft in Hampton. Rich was a skilled sailmaker and helped me through a great number of maintenance issues but what I really enjoyed were his awesome stories from Key West and the Caribbean. Rich lived the life Bubba sang about and even mention Bubba in some of his stories. Sail making and boat racing Rich was a good friend to many and would help out where he could. Rick sailed on New Year's Eve 2022. Raising a glass to Rich this evening. Sail on!
