42 Days

The extra Leap Day helped for sure and I will take it. FBG maintenance / Repair is in full swing.

The Bulkhead patch is wetted and curing. The band band saw and sander in the shop were probably last used in the 70s or 80s so when I fired them up, out came a huge cloud of dust. The warm weather has stuff cooking quick but it cooled off just after I put this goo on the patches and so it is taking its time to cure. I need more warm weather!

The Forward Floor also needed to come out one because it has some damage and two, I wanted to see what was under there. The unfinished hull needs some sanding and paint. This weekend perhaps. I have been very pleased with the lack of water in the boat. Typically after the kind of rain we have been having lately - The boat would need a little dewatering. Guess I am getting the leaks fixed - Finally. Also thanks to Tripp for bead blasting and priming the bulkhead support brace. I will get the white paint on it this week and start putting the bulkhead back together. I have some received some great ideas from the dialing brain trust. I think the floor is going to unique - More to come on that.

This week I plan to get the bulkhead back together. Get the final "lumpys" out of the bottom (I am just getting really nit picky now). Install the through hulls for the speedo and depth. That should have the bottom ready for paint.

This week I also need to match up some gel coat to finish the repairs on the stern and get the rudder back on. Then it's on to the blue stripes. I plan to add a red stripe (about 2") below the lower blue one - There was a grey stripe there but it was never very clear - This will make FBG, RWB (Red White and Blue!) My favorite colors.

And between tasks I am attempting to tackle the clutter. I spent almost an hour looking for a tool in a sea of tools. Getting there!
