2 Steps Back

Thomas Edison is surely my patron saint as I am the poster boy for persistance. I was so pleased with the baltoplate until I started sanding and then quickly realized, it was on too thin. Crap!

I have a couple of theories on this.

1). I am the world greatest wet sander. I am kinda hoping this is not it because I was hoping I would be the worlds greatest at something else. But if this is true I will give up recruiting immediately and get an auto-body shop where my worlds greatest wet-sanding abilities will surely pay big dividends.

2). I screwed it up. The paint is old, I over-thinned it out or just missed it on the spray. While I thought I was putting on 4 even coats clearly I was not.

I think number two is the more likely scenario. A combination of old paint and over thinning. Off it comes and I will hit it again. But SBRW is not going to happen. June 20 and 25th are significant days for me. Maybe one of those will be the new goal. For now, "back to the drawing board".
