FarfenDiesel II - Cooling System Gremlins

It has been a crazy week of rain and more rain. John Maxwell spoke to setbacks yesterday and I couldn't agree more. This week has involved a lot of head scratching around the farfendiesel not properly flowing cooling water. Although the setback was a time killer, it is better to fix it now rather than have an issue on the water. In the end Chris discovered massive carbon buildup in the exhaust manifold and after much cleaning, problem solved! It's all about flow.

Since Sly McFly has a D7 named Pippi Longstocking we decided to name our D7 too. Chris quickly came up with a winner; Fat Bottom Girl is powered by The Filthy Whore. Check out our latest video update.

The rain and threat of rain presented challenges getting the barrier coat on under the aft pads. Blue tape rain dams kept the work dry while it rained. Barrier coated, faired, sanded and baltoplated. Tomorrows plan is to wet sand, burnish and close out the stern. Then start the process on the forward pads. Last Sunday between boughs with the filthy whore, I managed to get all of the interrier work buttoned up. Bilge pumps installed, through hulls plumed, wires ran and the bulkhead back together. The "done list" is finally outgrown the "to do" list.
Paint under the fwd pads, do a trailer inspection, install the prop and the lower rudder shims and we are in business. With bit of work, weather reprieve a little luck we could be in slip D5 by Memorial Day. FBG in 2012!

One last note - Last week my post was compromised. Seems the gremlins are not only at work in the motor.
