27 Days

Did I mention I do better with a deadline? In 27 days the 2013 racing season officially begins with the CCV (Cruising Club of Virginia) Spring Series. In 17 days the Hampton Yacht Club's Wednesday Night Series begins. The entire 2013 schedule is on the Club's website. The short list of to-do's include rigging the running backs, optimizing the backstay and looking at couple of other nearly there but not quite rite rigging items. We'll be there!

Tiller Time: Racing the Club's Sonars has been a blast! Last Sunday we raced 6 windward-leeward short course races. It was good to get time racing as well as a little sun. Yesterday turned out to be a great crew review with all involved earning their "Sea Wings" and firmly securing spots on the b-team. It was impressive how quickly they caught on to how a sailboat moves with the wind through the water.

The boat feels fast and I am anxiously excited to run the new main and spinnaker with our '07 #1. Thanks for keeping up with us. Victory at sea in 2013.
