Shorter Days

What a great couple of weeks. Since we didn't get race crew for Cock Island we spent the
morning and early afternoon putting sails up and down - Set, Jibe, Jibe, takedown and again. It was very productive and we'll get that chute up this Wednesday evening. Sounds like the race to Cock Island was a great time and congratulations to Stingray for their b fleet victory.

Had to do a solstice sail last Friday. The longest day of the year turned from it's expected partly sunny to partly drizzly. The rain didn't melt us nor our sprits. It was a great time. Libations abound and the biggest moon of the year greeted the moonlight racers. Had to miss that one. Previous engagements.

Upcoming events:

  • Sunday July 7th, CCV Founders Race.
  • Saturday July 13th, "Armie" Armstrong Veterans Cup Regatta - Mossy's getting together some Naval Academy Sailors to round out an all vet crew. Also we are going to work on a little additional Wounded Warrior Fundraising. Stand by for more details.
  • Sun-Tues July 21-23, Screwpile Lighthouse Challenge - Let's go to Solomonds!
