Hot and sticky summer is my favorite time of the year. While getting the boat rigged on a 90
degree day with 90% humidity is a bit of work the reward of a cool onshore breeze to sail in is awesome. And the storms that can pop up, amazing.
We've manager to pick up some pretty cool Wednesday evening guest crew. This week Hanna and her Mom sailed with us. They were up from Fl touring schools and sent to the HYC docks by the CNU sailing instructor. Lucky for us, our neighbor John was not going out. Hanna trimmed the main sail and did an awesome job. She also helped with some tactics at the start. The school who scoops her up is going to get a great sailor. Thanks for sailing with us.
Really excited about the upcoming weeks. There are a few cool races we're going after as well as 4th of July. This year they have brought back the celebration at Ft. Monroe. The anchorage at the entrance to Mill Creek is the perfect spot to celebrate freedom watching fireworks with a 100 year old Fort in the background. Victory at sea in 2013!
