What a great performance for FBG last night. The mighty 1-5 mph conflicting breezes converged on the middle of the race course resulting in a big dead-air hole. Nick called a great start and tactics for us as we maintained momentum while puff-hopping. We managed to skirt around the hole and the majority of the fleets. Putting the spinnaker up and down depending which breeze appeared to win out kept Tim busy. He did a great job especially considering the frequency of our spinnaker sets and take downs. As the first of our fleet to drift past the mark we pointed up and caught the light sea breeze that eventually partially filled in for the ride back. Olivia provided instant performance feedback on our every move and Mike (I'll be rail-meat tonight) was back for his first race since 2008. Everything but rail-meat, Mike did a great job sail trimming and working the mast. I drove okay. Thanks for a wonderful night.
