Newport no News

Working in Rhode Island this weekend we took a pre-conference trip to Newport. What a sailing

town. The memory of my last visit being so distant; it was like a new experience. 

One of the highlights was an unofficial, self-guided, tour of the "Coronet". This supreme undertaking is a keel up restoration of the 190+ft all wood gilded age schooner. I'm typically not a wood boat guy but the "Coronet" is a testament to early American sailing might. I can't wait to see her sail.

And nothing says Newport like a stylish robe. Our boy Ed go a lot of attention. Don't try this in Newport News.
