Spring is near...It just seems far away!

Yea it's cold. But we can sail right? The sun is shining bright in my window as I type, I'm fast
Is that a boat under there?
forwarding in my mind about two months when sailing starts. I'm ready!

Boat work has been shut down as it is just too cold. I know as soon as the snow melts and the mercury hits 60, I'll be back at it. Getting the next phase of Fat Bottom Girl repairs and fabrications underway.

There are several lines to update as well as the power plant. The goal this year is to get the BMW running while looking for a newer Yanmar (preferably brand new) and give FBG a little more needed HP. 15 to be exact. The bottom may need a little touch up for the season but again - not pulling until the weather is there. Learned that lesson last year taking a gamble on warmer weather and loosing. Not this year.

Then there are sails. The competition has a new North main and we're still behind the curve with used jibs and the Dacron main, that's fast but heavy - Also I'd like a reaching spinnaker.

The girls have been patient about the head and I have some associated inside work to attend to too.   Right now. I'm ready for warm weather tacking solace, that time marches on...

So looking forward to the warmer days of spring giving way to the hot summer days. That's when there is nothing better than a day on the water. And victory on the race course - the cherry on top!

Give it all you got!
