Smaller = Faster: The saga of the penalty pole.

Picture this: a crimson streak slicing through the waves, propelled by the wind and skillful hands. Our trusty red spinnaker, a veteran of the seas, unfurls its crinkled glory only on weekends and race days. But oh, the tales it could tell!

Enter Kenny, the sage of the sailing world, whispering secrets of speed and strategy. As we prepared for Southern Bay Race Week, his words echoed in my mind like a forgotten melody. Cut the pole, he said. And so, armed with newfound wisdom, we embarked on a daring quest for swifter sails.

With precision and purpose, we trimmed the pole under the moon's watchful gaze, our hearts racing as fast as our boat now would. The subtle adjustment slipped by unnoticed, a silent revolution on the water. Yet, as we surged downwind with newfound grace, our rivals couldn't help but wonder at our sudden prowess.

Then came the Moonlight Triangle Race, where nature herself conspired to test our mettle. In the tumult of a thunderstorm, we danced with the wind, embracing its fury with a steely resolve. While others faltered, we pressed on, our maneuvers calculated and our spirits undaunted.

And lo, as the storm subsided and the finish line beckoned, we emerged triumphant. Neck and
neck with our longtime rival, "Bad Habit," we seized victory by a mere heartbeat. Did they sense the shift in our fortunes, the subtle alteration that tilted the scales in our favor? Perhaps not, but the sea knows, and she whispers our triumph to the stars.

Give it all you got!
