We don't need no stinking gages. While I have minimized the gauges to depth, speed and a tacking compass/starting line gps, I need to get them mounted and wired. I have fabricated an old compass mount to work for the depth and speed. I hope to install them Sunday while the weather is good.
The new spinnaker arrived at the North loft and it is sharp. Well the bag is anyway. This is the first spinnaker on the boat built since 1981 and I expect it will perform better. Also it's red and we all know the red ones go faster. Our new mainsail should be in soon.
Also I want to share one of my favorite winter treats. A Kicken Crab Cake is HYC's tasty sandwich with some hot peppers and hot sauce. Yum. It gets ya warmed up for messing about on your boat when it's really too cold for a reasonable person to be out. I've noticed less activities on the docks this week and wonder about my own sanity sometimes. It's firkin cold. Victory @ Sea in 2013!
